September, 1999
Greetings,
all!
Thanks to
everyone who stopped by MarsCon's party room at Diversicon this past month!
Diversicon was very relaxing, warm and friendly. Programming was excellent,
and the company was great. We had a wonderful time. Hope everyone there enjoyed
the convention, and we hope to see everyone again soon.
IMPORTANT
ANNOUNCEMENT
As our Fan Guest of Honor for MarsCon 2000,
we plan to welcome JACK BORKOWSKI to Minnesota! Jack is a master costumer
and head of the KLINGON ASSAULT GROUP (KAG), the largest Klingon club on Earth,
with members on five continents. Our sources say the Klingons are planning
to respond by launching a full-scale invasion of MarsCon! Last time, the Martians
invaded Minnesota. This time, we will be invaded. Brace yourself, and stay
tuned for more information as this story develops...

CHANGE
IN NEXT CONCOM MEETING DATE & LOCATION
Several members of the ConCom will be at the MadMedia SF/F Convention on the
weekend of our previously planned September meeting. For that reason, we are
rescheduling the meeting for earlier in the month. We apologize for any inconvenience
this may cause. Hopefully, this will enable more people to attend the meeting.
Remember: ConCom meetings are open to everyone, and we welcome you to attend
and share your ideas on how to make next year's convention fun!
