Artists from across the known universe have come to MarsCon to display their masterpieces! All art in our Art Show is original to the artist, with any fan derivatives properly crediting the original owner/creator of that property/character.

In nearly all cases, art created using an AI is not considered original to the artist, and is not eligible for this show.

If you are an artist who is interested in participating in the Art Show and/or the Art Market, and you want to learn more about general guidelines, fees and pricing, or to sign up to submit your artwork, click on the link below.

Our Art Show combines two fabulous art experiences in one space; the Art Show Gallery and the Art Market.

Art Show Gallery

In the Art Show Gallery, you will find original one-of-a-kind pieces that you can bid on, silent auction style.

The Art Market

The Art Market, located in the same space as the Art Show, will feature multiple copies of artwork of all sizes, numbered prints, multiple copies of bookmarks, small replicated 3D art pieces, and surprises at every table!

If you fall for a piece hanging in the show, but can’t take part in the bidding process, you may find a smaller replication of it in the Art Market. Support MarsCon by supporting the Art Show!

How To Bid On Artwork In The Gallery

  • There is NO LIVE AUCTION for the Art Show; it is a silent auction. The silent bidding will take place starting on Friday until the Art Show closes at 7:30PM on Saturday evening.
  • All bids must include your name, badge number, and amount of the bid in whole dollar amounts on the bid form.
  • Each initial bid must be for no less than the minimum bid. Each additional bid must be at least one dollar ($1.00) over the previous bid, and all bids must be in dollar increments.
  • Once a bid is made, it should not be crossed out. Please consider your bidding choice carefully.
  • Once a piece has a bid on it, it may not be purchased at the Quick Sale price.
  • If someone else bids against you, you must bid again in order to purchase (win the item).
  • On Saturday, items without a bid can be purchased for the Quick Sale price. However, they cannot be removed from the Art Show until Sunday, except with permission from the Art Show Director.
  • On Sunday, there is no bidding; anything remaining is available for purchase at the “Sunday sale price.”
  • Artwork may not be removed from the Art Show until Sunday except with permission from the Art Show Director.
  • Any pieces not sold on Sunday will be returned to the Artist. Any winning bids not claimed by 2:00PM on Sunday will be auctioned off at closing ceremonies. If not sold, it will then be returned to the artist.
  • Any pieces with NFS (Not For Sale) on its bid sheet will not be sold under any circumstances.

Rules For Visiting The Art Show
