The great Luke Ski, (a.k.a. Luke Sienkowski), writes, records and performs comedy music on a variety of pop culture subjects ranging from Lord of the Rings and Star Wars to Spider-Man and Keanu Reeves. Luke has become the most requested aritst of the 21st century on The Dr. Demento Show, by taking top honors with the #1 most requested songs of both 2003 (Stealing Like a Hobbit) and 2002 (Peter Parker). His music has also been heard on ManCow’s Morning Madhouse and various college and morning shows across the country. Since 1996, Luke has released 5 albums: Worst Album Ever (2003), Uber Geek (2002), Carpe Dementia (1999), Shadows of the Bunghole (1997), and Fanboys ‘n Da Hood (1996).
Just to give you an idea of his musical interests, Luke has parodied: Bob Dylan, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Snoop Doggy Dogg, the Beastie Boys, Barenaked Ladies, Enimem, Kid Rock, Run DMC, Styx, the Spice Girls, the Soggy Bottom Boys (O Brother Where Art Thou?), Billy Joel, Digital Underground, Afroman, Spike Jones, and dozens more.
In addition to comedy music, Luke Ski is also an artist, specializing in caricatures and cartooning. He draws caricatures at Ed Debevic’s restaurant in Chicago, as well as many private functions. He recently completed artwork for some of his fellow comedy musicians, including cover art for Tony Goldmark’s CD Rage against the Mundane and a promotional comic book for Hot Waffles’ CD Will Rock for Food.
Luke lives in Madison, WI with his close friend, roommate, and loyal MarsCon attendee Stephanie and two cats named Judy Meow and Joss Numfar. When home, Luke enjoys playing with his new Tivo, singing Karaoke, trying to keep up with movies, and finding new reasons to hang out at Kinko’s.
Those who have seen Luke at MarsCon 2003 and/or 2004 know his concerts always include a plethora of interesting props and strange costumes. Please welcome Luke Ski back for his third visit to MarsCon.
