Craig R. Lang - Craig is the coordinator of field investigation for Minnesota MUFON, the local chapter of the Mutual UFO Network. He investigates sighting and close encounter reports in the Twin Cities area, and in surrounding areas in Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin. He is a certified hypnotherapist, with the National Guild of Hypnotists, and research into the close encounter phenomenon. His "day job" is as a computer engineer, working with an electronics firm in the Twin Cities. He has been interested in astronomy, ET life and UFOs since childhood. Lev Mailer - Lev Mailer's career as actor, director, acting coach and teacher spans over 30 years, from his first days working on the original Star Trek series and his experiences in the Star Wars Holiday Special, Firefox, and shows such as The Greatest American Hero, to his roles as National Chair of the Screen Actors' Guild Conservatory and faculty member of the American Film Institute.
Bill Baggs - Bill Baggs has owned and managed the audio production company BBV Productions since 1991. The BBV label specializes in videotaped productions starring former cast members from the BBC science fiction series "Doctor Who." Bill has worked on numerous productions with such actors as Colin Baker, Jon Pertwee, Sylvester McCoy, Peter Davison, and our Guest of Honor John Anthony Blake.
Eleanor Arnason - She is an award-winning author of such novels as DAUGHTER OF THE BEAR KING, RING OF SWORDS and TO THE RESURRECTION STATION. Ruth Berman - Ruth is one of the co-authors of the novel AUTUMN WORLD. Her numerous speculative fiction poems and short stories (such as The Dragon's Skin, How to Tell Time Travelers, and Wizard's Road) have been featured in magazines and anthologies including Dragon Fantastic, Tales of the Unanticipated, Amazing Stories, Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, Analog Science Fiction / Science Fact, and Weird Tales. Bruce Bethke - The creator of Cyberpunk, Bruce Bethke has also written such novels as Maverick, Headcrash, Rebel Moon and, most recently, Wild Wild West. He is a recipient of the Philip K. Dick Award for Best American Novel.
Adrian Drake - Adrian is the author of The Legend of Hawkwind, the first in the World of Marna series of novels, published by MoonDragon Publications through Vivispere. The second in this series, The Bard of Azure and Gold, is due to be released very soon. See www.worldofmarna.com.
Paula Fleming - Paula's stories have been published on-line as well as in various printed sf anthologies, and they include "Outer Darkness" and "Unblinking." Her story "Polyformus Perfectus" was recently featured in the theme anthology Such a Pretty Face: Tales of Power and Abundance (Meisha Merlin, 2000). P.M.F. Johnson & Sandra Rector - Peter and Sandra have co-written many stories such as "And All I See Are Dark Eyes," "A Dwelling in the Evening Air," "Desert Angel," "Color Me Dead," and "Till Death Do Us Part." Their stories have been featured in various anthologies and fantasy story collections, i.e., Witch Fantastic, Amazing, Whatdunits, and Xanadu 2.
Christopher Jones - Our 2001 Fan / Artist Guest of Honor, Christopher Jones has been a professional illustrator for over ten years, working in a variety of fields including his first, great love: Comic Books. Christopher has done artwork for a variety of publishers including Caliber Comics, Image Comics and DC Comics. Recently, his work has included illustrations for the Doctor Who anthology: Missing Pieces.
Pam Keesey - She is a writer, editor, and self-proclaimed vampirologist. Pam served as editor for the lesbian vampire story anthologies Daughters of Darkness and Dark Angels. She specializes in writing non-fiction about horror. Pam's other works include Women Who Run with the Werewolves, Vamps: An Illustrated History of the Femme Fatale, and Sci-Fi Womanthology. Harry LeBlanc - Otherwise known as H. Courreges LeBlanc, his sf writing has been featured in Tales of the Unanticipated and Terra Incognita. He is a member of the Wyrdsmiths writers' group. His short stories include "Euphonasia" and "The Ecstasy Array." Harry participated in programming at our first MarsCon back in 1999, and he has been a guest speaker at Wiscon and Diversicon.
Joan Marie Verba - Our 2001 Featured Guest, Joan Marie Verba co-authored the science fiction novel Autum World with Tess Meara, Deborah K. Jones, Margaret Howes, and Ruth Berman. Her other works include Voyager: Exploring the Outer Planets, North Dakota, and Boldly Writing: A Trekker Fan and Zine History.
Laurel Winter - She is author of the novel Growing Wings, and she won the Rhysling and Asimov's Readers Poll Award for best poem two years in a row. Laurel Winter is the poetry editor for Tales of the Unanticipated. Her numerous poems and short stories have appeared in such publications as Tales of the Unanticipated, Asimov's, and Aboriginal.
