MarsCon 2006 Gaming

Hey-there all you tasty humans! If you're wondering where you'll find all the games, times, and awesome gaming info for MarsCon 2006, YOU HAVE BEEN DUPED. Sorry, but it's not here, it's too big! well, ok, we lied; there's some here... But for all the info you could want, and probably some you don't, you want to visit:

THE GREAT WALL OF GAMING

Located on the second floor, in the Apple Terrace room, you'll find sign-up sheets, information and times for all our scheduled events; and even some that we don't even know about yet! If you want to run something of your own, awesome! We're always happy to help our beloved con-goers play with themselves (hehehe) so just grab a sheet, write it up and stick it to the board, don't worry, it can take it. C'mon up, find a pen and sign-up!

Ten bucks says your just itching to know what all's going down, huh? Full info's on the board, so we're going to be mean and make you hike on up and have a look at the WALL... but 'cause we love you guys, here's a run down of the sponsored events run by local shops and reps; check it y'all:

Source Comics and Games:
Board games a plenty, who knows what lies in their glittering hoard? Watch for them in the gaming rooms and even in their own room!

Ok, so maybe we'll tell you about some other stuff too, we're easy! These are run by selfless, hard working, self sacrificing (mostly their sanity) folks. You'll even see your GREAT GAMING OVERLORDS running some of these. Watch for:

MORE Magic: The gathering
MORE Video games
MORE Minis
MORE Board games!
MORE CARD GAMES

Aiight, now you have an idea of what's going on, but heads up: we've upgraded the program book with a brand new insert; a handy pull-out guide to the gaming schedule. It's the handy-dandy pocket sneaky schedule.

Ok, so where ARE these fabled places, spoken of by the great WALL and the sneaky schedule? It's a good question you asked (or thought, or yelled or burped). Yup; MarsCon Gaming is bigger than ever, and is too big for a single room, in fact, we have THREE! To be specific,

On the first floor you'll find the Pippin Room, located across from the restaurant, kinda hidden under the stairs. Home to the RPGA, board gaming, role-playing and whatever else we can stuff into the room, it's a great place to slip into your alter-ego (or three).

On the second floor you find Apple Terrace, located above the pool area and conveniently near the arcade. Here you shall see the mythic WALL OF GAMING, your one stop shop for all your gaming info needs. But as mighty as the board is, we also managed to fit card games, miniature games and lots of room for open play. Grab your cards, your figures, your dice, you tiddly-winks, and most importantly your friends, and come play.

Last but not least, the 12th floor is home to the Console Room, it's in big ol' Murphy Suite #1212. In such a den of scum and villain you'll find video games a plenty! With shades drawn, couches comfy and gamers happy, we've got XBOXs, PS2s and Game Cubes, oh my! Monster Den of Minneapolis is bringing their 16-player network and some sweet TVs for our enjoyment! Sweet huh?

Watch for your local GAMING OVERLORDS roaming the con, playing games, making sure everything goes down the way it should, and generally being big, fuzzy and in a shirt that says Gaming Overlord (gee, no way?!). If you have questions, concerns or problems (with gaming, that is) feel free to come on up and ask, we're here for y'all.

So, now that all that pesky information stuff is out of the way, it's time to give MAD PROPS to everyone who helped make all this go down. Uber-thanks go to

Shuffle the decks, roll the dice, move the figs.

Word.
