About our Main Stage

MarsCon's Main Stage is the place to be for all big events, opening and closing ceremonies as well as many events featuring our Guests of Honor. Be sure to check out the many music events as well as they are always well worth it! Often Main Stage events can be quite full so be sure to arrive early!

About Phobos and Deimos

(Located on 4th floor, Rooms 412 & 426) At MarsCon things not only go bump in the night but we’ve got panels to keep you busy all day long! Programming in Phobos and Deimos promises some great discussion, debate, and a few laughs. Panels in Deimos fall to the slightly more serious ranging from panels on Science fact to speculation about Science fiction and where we are going. While Phobos topics rage from informative and fun to the absurd. Come check out topics from Tarot cards to Star Trek, Monsters, Music, and even a Panel about nothing!

About Krushenko's, Krushenko's Annex, and Re(a)d Mars

Krushenko's (13th floor, Concierge Lounge) and its sometime partner, Krushenko's Annex (Room 1331), are spaces that encourage conversation about science fiction and fantasy at SF conventions. Krushenko's, named after a Manhattan bistro in Larry Niven's novel Ringworld, started at the 1983 Minicon, and now also travels to CONvergence, Diversicon, and Arcana in the Twin Cities as well as OddysseyCon and WisCon in Madison, A regular feature of MarsCon since 1999, Krushenko's (with help from the Annex) this year serves up panels and discussions about SF in literature and other media in the daytimes, and conversational SF-related parties in the evenings. “Krushenko's is accustomed to serving alien guests!”

Re(a)d Mars (Room 1340), premiering this year, is a space, special to MarsCon, for literary programming, including panels, discussions, and author readings, conveniently located near both Krushenko's and the Hospitality Suite.
