Volunteers are the life’s blood of MarsCon. MarsCon cannot exist without volunteers. Every one of the convention committee are volunteers.
We can’t do it all…
We need others to volunteer and help. So we’re asking for your help. Why should you help? That’s up to you. But, we’ll try to make it fun for you.
...Give you an inside look behind the running of the con.
...You’ll have a chance to meet new people.
...Learn things.
...Make sure you know you’re appreciated.
...We’ll Feed you.
...Coddle you.
...Tuck you in and give you cookies…
.........OOPs, sorry, got carried away.

...Get a sense of camaraderie, be a part of making the con happen.
But what, you ask, does a Minion do? Our Magnificent MarsCon Minions:
...Check badges at the Art Show, Dealers’ Room, Masquerade, etc.
...Run errands, messages, deliver food to people working for the con, etc.
...Help with video recording of events, and other help at the Main Stage and elsewhere.
...Help with serving and cleaning up in the Consuite.
...Decorate rooms and con space, put up and take down signs.
...Any other help that may be needed. Minds out of the gutter. Make that other help that’s safe, legal, and appropriate.
And as a final “good job”, “attaboy… that is, girl”, “thank you”, all volunteers/minions are invited to the After-Con Party in the Con Suite & Poolside… and… a Second Volunteer Party to be held later in the year. Sign up at Registration, OPs (Operations), or the Volunteer Lounge. Thanks! We NEED your help.
Perks! We’ll be happy for any hours you’re willing to help. The more hours you contribute the more we’ll show our appreciation. Perks may include buttons, stress balls, water bottles, and: Massage… At 3 hours you’ll receive priority seating for massaging at “Rue Morgue Massage”.
