2011 MarsCon Midwest Sci-Fi and Fantasy Short Film Festival
Submissions are now being taken for the 2011 Midwest Sci-Fi and Fantasy Short Film Festival.
Eligibility requirements:

Filmmakers residing in the following states: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin.

Genres accepted: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Supernatural, Paranormal, Alternate History, or Mix.

Entries must have a total running time that is 20 minutes or less.

Submission Deadline: 11:59pm (CST), January 31, 2011

There is no entry fee.
2011 MarsCon’s Midwest Sci-Fi and Fantasy Short Film Festival Festival and Submission Rules and Entry Form:

All entries must be original works created by the Filmmaker.

There is no entry fee for any submission.

No Entries will be accepted after 11:59 pm CST, January 31, 2011.

Filmmakers sending submissions must be a legal resident one of the following U.S. states: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wisconsin. (Must submit a photocopy of your VALID driver’s license or State Issued ID as proof of residency).

Entries submitted must be in one or more of the following genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Supernatural, Paranormal, Alternate History, or Mix.

All Entries must be accompanied by a completed Festival and Submission Rules and Entry Form, signed by the filmmaker.

Entries must be 20 minutes or less in total running time (including titles and credits).

Entries must be submitted as an NTSC, Standard Definition, Playable DVD.

Entries must meet the stated Festival and Submission Rules or they will be refused. If an entry does not meet these rules, the filmmaker will be notified via Email and allowed to resubmit the corrected entry by the contest deadline (See above).

By entering the Festival, the Filmmaker grants the right and limited license for the Festival to screen the Entry as part of the 2011 Marscon event, as well as other screening opportunities which the festival may undertake.

Entries submitted are NOT guaranteed to be screened. Screened entries will be chosen at the sole discretion of the Festival Director.

All DVDs submitted will become the property of the Festival and will not be returned, unless accompanied by a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope of appropriate size.

Filmmaker warrants and represents that Filmmaker controls all rights to Entry and that Filmmaker may grant rights and licenses above without infringing on any third-parties rights.

Filmmaker will be responsible for any liability to the Festival and/or it’s sponsors from any action taken against the Festival and/or it’s sponsors resulting from these submission and/or screening of the Entry.
