MarsCon 2014 Programming
Programming will have some new, exciting space in which to play for 2014. Please share in the fun by posting your ideas for programming on the Programming Ideas Page—talks you’d like to hear or give, presenters/performers you would recommend, subjects or activities of interest to you and other fans…
If you’ve submitted ideas in years past you already know the plan: read the ideas list… if you see a program event you want to help with drop us an email. If you have an idea for an event that isn’t yet listed, tell us about it.
2014 Programming will feature Q&A sessions and panel discussions with our fantastic Guests of Honor:
- J.G. Hertzler will be talking about Star Trek, Klingons, and behind-the-scenes stories.
- Esther Friesner will be hosting a reading, joining in some fantastic discussions on SF/Fantasy literature as well as the art of combat shopping, and celebrating MarsCon‘s “Sweet Sixteen” with chocolate, of course.
- Mickie Erickson will be sharing pointers on the art of turning pens and embellishing them with a Steampunk twist.
- Rae Lundquist plans to wow us with some of her costuming greats and tips of the trade.
- IKV RakeHell members will be celebrating their 20th anniversary in Klingon style by dominating MarsCon with costumes, chaos and a party you've only ever dreamed about.
- Dave Duca & Michael Glielmi will be sharing their amazing Daleks with the MarsCon crowd, so this is your chance for some quality one-on-one time with a Dalek.
We are in the process of adding a musical guest and possibly one or two more, so please keep your eye on the web site for future Guest of Honor & Programming announcements.
As always, MarsCon depends on our attendees for much of our programming. We are immensely grateful for the incredible programming we receive each year from artists, authors, guests, musicians, singers, actors, fan groups, clubs and individuals. Thanks in advance for all of your wonderful suggestions.
