MarsCon 2007

MarsCon is run entirely by volunteers. Arranging for the hotel and guests, setting up the various function rooms, scheduling all these marvelous events, our publications, yea, even this website -- it's all done by volunteers. And you can help too!

Areas where we especially need help right this moment:

Anime/Film Room is looking for trustworthy, technically savvy fen to take over or at least help out.
Charity Auction needs runners, money handlers, and people to help sort donations and organize.
Smoking Lounge is new, and the more help Lounge Lizard Matt gets with it, the more impressive it will be.
Volunteers! We need someone to take charge of recruiting, assigning and organizing volunteers.

Other volunteer activities: If you can do any of these things, you are qualified to volunteer:

Confront un-badged Balrogs and declare, "Ye shall not pass!" at cavern entrances;
Aim video cameras at belly dancers or anime-niacs as they explain the proper way to glomp without causing serious bodily injury;
Wipe off tables and place garbage in appropriate receptacles so the brownies don’t get worn out during the wee hours of the morning;
Decorate rooms, post signs and sprinkle pixie dust hither and yon to transform a lowly hotel into a fannish wonderland;
Deliver soylent green and spoo to the lab rats who are stuck inside their wheels running experiments for extended periods of time.
