Mainstage is the place for big events such as Opening/Closing Ceremonies, Masquerade Cosplay, Charity Auction, media guest talks, concerts, stage performances and musical jams!
Dealers’ Room (Ballrooms I/II)
Here is where you’ll be able to buy all manner swag: things to read/hear/view, things to wear, things to decorate your manor, things to give to friends, souvineers of MarsCon.
Prop-a-Torium (Executive Conference Room)
Screen-used, replica and original props. Oh, and Deleks. Did we mention Daleks?
Masquerade Lounge (I - Blue Heron)
Over the years, programming in the Masquerade Lounge has grown substantially, from almost nothing to over 20 hours of costume related panels, demos and discussions. There will be plenty of programming related to costumes (the regulars & some newer topics) as well as prop making panels and makeup demos.
Free Mars (II - Cardinal Perch)
Free Mars will feature miscellaneous programming, i.e., hard sciences discussions, talks about our favorite sci-fi/fantasy movies and television series, gaming, Klingons, music, and as many other fannish topics as we can fit into the space.
Re(a)d Mars (III - Eagle’s Next)
Re(a)d Mars, exclusive to MarsCon since the early 21st century, will focus mainly on literary discussions and readings, but there may be a touch of art and other SF media, as well as speculative science.
Anime/YA (IV - Hawk’s Ridge)
Anime/YA is a place for discussions about anime, young adult fiction and other topics of interest to young fans. The room will also feature a few anime showings.
The Playground (V - Mallard Point)
This room will host children’s programming and provide an activity center which is kid-friendly. Adults are welcome too!
Roleplaying Games (VI - Owl Overlook)
RPGs will play host to roleplaying games throughout the weekend.
Dance/Demo (VII - Wood Duck Pond)
See live demos on subjects like dance, weapons, stunts, self defense and yoga. Learn about burlesque and shake your groove thang. Bring your boffer equipment or light sabers, and battle safely.
Gaming (VIII - Wood Duck Pond)

on the eleventh floor you’ll find:
Consuite (1100)
Relax. Converse. Nosh. Con Suite is where you will find pop, chips, candy and assorted snacks
throughout the convention. Hours will depend upon availability and energy of volunteers, but we
plan to open early for coffee lovers and close late for the pleasure of our night owls. Please
pitch in to keep Con Suite tidy and open longer. Many thanks to volunteers!
Pump It Up (1102)
Arcade style Pump it up dance machine. Music and dancing.

off those old VHS tapes in years, there’s a place for you at Anime Fusion. Stop in, watch some spooky anime, and let us grill you a cheese!

The A/V room is happy to team up with the Geek Partnership Society. Come see Geeky classic films and independent films.
The A/V room is always looking for Volunteers/Minions if you want to help out. By helping out and covering a film for us,
you will get a cool “Film Crew” Ribbon.
A note to parents, please be aware that there are “R” and “NR” rated films that will be shown
throughout this weekend. Please, if you do not want your children to see “R” or “NR” rated films,
please keep them out of the A/V room at the time they are shown. We do not have time to check to make sure there are no
underage people watching the films. Also some “NR” films might not be suited for children, if you have any
questions please ask at the A/V room’s Film Crew. (Film Crew will have ribbons on their badges that say,
“MarsCon Film Crew”.)

Krushenko’s Lounge (1117)
Krushenko’s is a space that encourages conversation about science fiction and fantasy at SF conventions. Krushenko’s,
named after a Manhattan bistro in Larry Niven’s novel Ringworld, started at the 1983 Minicon, and now also travels
to Con-Sarnit and Diversicon in the Twin Cities and WisCon in Madison. A regular feature of MarsCon since 1999, Krushenko’s
this year serves up panels and discussions about SF in literature and other media in the daytimes, and conversational SF-related
parties in the evenings. “Krushenko’s is accustomed to serving alien guests!”
Karaoke Joe’s Café (1119)
Karaoke Joe’s returns to MarsCon! Karaoke Joe’s Café has been known as the place where you can sing (and listen
to) just about anything your heart desires, from Barry Manilow to Black Sabbath and from Rupert Holmes to Rocky Horror Picture
Show. Karaoke Joe’s has a continually expanding catalog of roughly 7,000 songs! Come prepared to have a great time
watching, or pluck up some courage and sing a song yourself! So stop by, pick a song and Rock The Mike!
Party hours: May go until 3am.
Red Ribbon Room (1121)
Steam Century invites you to solve a steampunk mystery and participate in other events including a scavenger hunt, craft hour,
and tea and parlour games! Explore our interactive set and talk with characters.
Harry Potter Party (1122)
On Friday, fans of Harry Potter can make their very own wand in the Playground (2nd floor) starting at 5pm.
On Saturday, for the 10 and under Harry Potter fans, there will be activities going from 11-12:30pm on Saturday in the Harry Potter
party room (1122). Try your arm with the Dobby Sock Toss, Pin the Nose on Voldemort, and go hunting around the con hotel for Dragon
Eggs (8 different colors to find, each one with a treat!). Come back to the room when your quest is done, for some cookies and a prize!
(ALL children must be accompanied by an adult. Unattended children will be escorted to The Bridge.)
Adults, and non-sleepy children are invited to return to the HP party room at 8pm Friday and Saturday (until 1am), for some (non-alchoholic)
Butter Beer and gingersnaps, as well as O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. level trivia contests. Contest winners will be posted on the door of the party
room Sunday morning. Just knock on the door to claim your prize.

Massage Room (1126)
Rue Morgue Massage, the crew with the magic touch, returns to MarsCon. Stop by for their famous back and full body massage. Or Drop into
the Black Hole and vibrate your way through space and time. Escape may be impossible losing track of time probable.
MarsCon is a fan-run science fiction convention for all ages held every March (sometimes in late February) in the Twin Cities area. At MarsCon you’ll find panel discussions, parties, guest of honor presentations, music of many kinds, our art show, film/anime room, science room, dealers room, charity auction, and masquerade. The Dementia track is virtually a con in itself, and attracts a nation-wide audience.
