Maps of MarsCon
Here’s Where You’ll Find Stuff...
On the First Floor you’ll find:
Master Control (Meadows - near the grand staircase)
Master Control is MarsCon’s command center through the con. Master Control can (try to) answer your questions and resolve issues small and large.
The Penthouse / Art Show (Riverside)
View SF- and Fantasy-themed art by our Artist Guest of Honor and other talented artists. Buy or bid on art to take home!
Bat Cave / Science Room (Woodlands)
“Where does he get those wonderful toys?” The Bat Cave is hidden behind Hotel’s front desk, and it is well-worth discovering. Come and see how we are transforming science fiction to science fact. View and interact with science exhibits—models, maps and science demos!
On Second Floor:
The Ballroom / Mainstage (Ballrooms III/IV)
Ballroom is the place for big events such as Opening & Closing Ceremonies, Masquerade Cosplay, concerts, stage performances and musical jams!
Back Room Bazaar / Dealers’ Room (Ballrooms I/II)
Here is where you’ll be able to buy all manner of swag: things to read/hear/view, things to wear, things to decorate your manor, things to give to friends, souvenirs of MarsCon.
Makers’ Market with more things to buy is located just outside the Ballroom, so make sure to stop by the artists there and grab an autograph or two from our wonderful Guests!
The Cabaret (Exec Conference Room)
This room will serve as a karaoke room in the evenings, and may feature Guest speaker events, dance, simulated combat, and music-related events throughout the weekend.
Masquerade Lounge (I - Blue Heron Colony)
Nothing sparks intrigue like a good disguise, and what better place than at a Masquerade? Expect to find costume related panels, demos and discussions. Masquerade Lounge will also serve as the Green Room during the Masquerade Cosplay Contest on Saturday night.
The Lair (II - Cardinal Perch)
The Lair will feature miscellaneous programming, i.e., hard sciences discussions, talks about our favorite sci-fi/fantasy movies and television series, gaming, Klingons, music, and as many other fannish topics as we can fit into the space.
The Library (III - Eagle’s Next)
The Library will focus mainly on literary discussions and readings, but there may be a touch of art and other SF media, as well as speculative science.
Spy Games 2 / Roleplaying Games (IV - Hawk’s Ridge)
