Greetings, gentle beings!

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for the first ever Blue Mars Film Room & Anime "Geek-Out and Space Camp." We had marshmallows. We had croquet. We had the best view of Mars ever! And we had lots of movies, cats and cows!! It was a good time. Let's do it again. And now, here's the latest on MarsCon 2004...

MarsCon membership rates go up to $42 for adults at the end of October. The current rate is $32 ($15 for kids ages 6-12; under age 6 is free). Don't miss your chance to register early so you can party on the cheaper side for an entire weekend with Dr. Demento, Luke Ski, Richard Biggs, Davina, Baron DavE Romm, Dr. Mike (John M. Ford), the Nick Atoms, Tri-Destiny, and a host of other talented, exciting guests and fans just like you.

We'll be showing a special video featuring live footage of Dr. Demento, Richard Biggs, and David E Romm at promo parties to further entice you.

MARSCON ARTICLE IN THE DEMENTO SOCIETY NEWS!

Dr. Demento wrote a wonderful article about us in the latest Demento Society newsletter. He refers to MarsCon as a "mammoth science fiction convention" and writes:

"I will be presenting my Festival of Dementia and acting as MC of a grand Masquerade. (I've done this before at other sci-fi cons, and some of the costumes are true works of art, just like in the movies). I will also be signing autographs, and raffling off one of my top hats for charity - the actual hat I wore on many TV appearances including 'Behind the Music' on VH-1."

"I've always loved appearing at science fiction fan conventions. They are great places to make new friends. You can learn a lot of interesting things, and also party down if you like. MarsCon promises a full weekend of music, movies, concerts, information, fun & games, and lots of cool stuff for sale...and it'll be great to be back in my home town!"

And, we are so very happy to have you with us at MarsCon, Dr. Demento!! The Festival of Dementia is scheduled for Friday evening at 9:00 p.m., following Opening Ceremonies and Shockwave's 25 Anniversary Radio Show! The Masquerade will happen on Saturday night.

FFI on the Demento Society, you can write to PO Box 884, Culver City, CA 90232. Dr. Demento's web site may be found at http://www.drdemento.com.
